We are a family owned business in our infancy. The concept of starting a Cat Cafe was a dream of my teen's for a few years now. And my little one has been our loving  Cat Whisperer since we rescued our first Cat. We have visited several Cat Cafe's, Rescues, and other types of pet places from here to Pennsylvania. And have been researching how to bring one to Elizabeth City, NC.

We have many plans for this business. The Mews 252, is not simply going to be your typical Cat Rescue or cafe, but also a place for education, learning, and building community.  As we get established we plan on holding events to help educate our community on the many benefits of cats and their proper care. How do be a responsible cat own and humanely reduce the stray cat population, as well as present programs to encourage future Entrepreneurs to begin their own catastic business. Our cats and kittens are going to help our community by getting involved in the education of our youth as well. You cand find out more about this ins our services tab.

So, come in and visit with our 7 Resident Cats and any of our visiting cats looking for Fosters and/or someone to Adopt them into their Furever home!

Then come back to Paws for Learning where children get a free 1/2 hour visit with our felines when they come with a paying adult and complete a homework assignment. 

​

We also plan to offer other events that encourage our youth to become better readers, artists, and maybe even scientists too!
